IRACS Receivers

We presently offer two styles of IRACS Receiver:

Waterproof Receiver
In-Lift Receiver

The same operations are provided with both Receivers.

Waterproof IRACS Receiver

Waterproof Receiver

This Receiver is suitable for external use. It has two versions:
  • Standard gain and wide beamwidth
  • High gain but a narrower beamwidth
The high gain Receiver is intended for siting when there is a clearly defined access route (maybe a road or driveway). It also incorporates secondary receiving devices so that it will still respond to close signals, such as from cyclists or pedestians.

'In-Lift' Receiver with stainless steel front-plate

In-Lift Receiver

This style of Receiver is matched to the stainless-steel faceplates often used in lifts (elevators) for call-button plates. It has low sensitivity, since it is not required to operate over a great range. This also reduces the likelihood of this Receiver responding to Transmitters that are used outside the Lift Car.
Two versions are available, one (shown) for use at the entrance to the lift; the other has a wide angle lens and is intended for mounting on the ceiling inside the lift. Neither is suitable for outdoor use.
This Receiver is generally most suitable when the Lift has only two levels. If there are more levels, a more complex system is needed in order to resolve what the lift must do when IRACS sends it a command.

Previous: IRACS Transmitters        Next: IRACS Console

IRACS Receivers are fixed permanently in positions close to the controlled item, which can be a lift (elevator) or gate.

Each Receiver is wired back to the Controller using readily available twisted-pair cable, which carries signals and power.

More than 300m of cable can be used with each Receiver.

In a conventional IRACS-based Installation, there will be one Receiver at each lift level. In some installations it is also possible to fit a receiver into each lift car.

Up to six Receivers (of either style) can be used in a standard IRACS System.
