Similar Lift Controllers
The high reliability of operation of IRACS, in particular the Infra-Red link encoding and decoding, has spawned some smaller, Controller-less derivative products, which have their own websites:This is a special-purpose IRACS-like system with the design aim of failing safe in the event of any single component failure. It supports one self-contained High-reliability Receiver and up to 8 Transmitters.
This uses a configuration similar to IRACS but without a controller. This system has no management for individual Transmitters since there is no Controller, but it can later be expanded to become a full IRACS.
The Basic System is the original Infra-Red system which inspired IRACS and is still available.
More information on these alternatives can be found on their websites, or download the short-form descriptive document (Acrobat pdf).
IRACS System
The IRACS System consists of:- Receivers From 1 to 6 Receivers of any type.
- Console One Control Console.
- Transmitters Up to 999 Transmitters, of either type.
- Interconnecting Cables.
Accessories
Your IRACS System is fully functional in itself, but you may find some of these enhancement products useful. They apply only to the IRACS since they need the Controller in order to function.Datalogging Software

The logger runs in the background, using negligible processor resource, and can be installed on a PC local to the IRACS.
Log entries are date and time stamped, so that precise information on the occurrence is retained. The information that is logged is provided as standard by the IRACS console. This is a running account of the operation of the Console as it deals with incoming signals in normal operation, together with a record of logged-in users and their interaction with the system.
The logs are stored in plain text format, for easy interrogation with any normal editor etc.
Logfile size can be restricted, and historic logs compressed to use less disk space. Very old compressed logs are deleted automatically after a specified time.

Automatic Transmitter Data Entry
Greatly simplifying the whole operation, this add-on unit gives automatic entry simply by aiming the Transmitter at the unit and pressing the button on the Transmitter. The unit will display the System code and Serial number of the Transmitter, and (if currently within the Controller menu structure) awaiting a serial number, the serial number will be automatically transferred to the Controller.
This automatic entry greatly eases the addition or deletion of Transmitter entries, avoiding typing errors.
