Lift (Elevator) or Gates
Dual Vehicle Lift
operated by IRACS.
The Receiver is located between the red 'traffic lights'.
Many types of lift or gates can be controlled by IRACS. It is up to the
Customer to decide whether normal user-operated buttons will also be
present, or whether key-operated switches will be used for security.
Normally a lockable panel or keyswitch will be used in addition to the
IRACS, so that a backup operating mode is available.
The Lift or Gate is not part if
IRACS, and
is normally supplied and installed by others.
The vehicle lift shown here is provided by
Gartec
Ltd,
who can also supply and install IRACS.
IRACS
Console
provides relay contact
closures that can emulate the normal push buttons used in lifts.
This allows IRACS to call the lift to the desired level when a
Transmitter is detected (if it is permitted to do so).
The lift shown opposite carries vehicles from road level to one of two
underground parking levels in a City building.
IRACS ensures that only authorised usrs can operate the lift.
The Receiver seen in these pictures is a high-gain unit to ensure that
vehicles can operate IRACS before they are too near for the traffic
light system to show which side of the lift they should enter
(or
which side they should queue).
